Teacher Information

This project is specifically designed for Washington State Schools. The target audience is elementary and junior high classrooms that study Washington State history and geography. Schools must have access to the K-20 videoconference system. Direct questions about the project to Jeff Allen (ETSC Director, Olympic ESD).

Prior to the conference, teachers should contact their appropriate tech person to get an overview of their videoconferencing (VC) facility and equipment. Most districts will assign a tech person to your team during the VC to handle equipment, dial-up, and tech issues.

You should download Project Documents for Teachers(Elementary Version) (Middle School Version) (available in PDF format). These will help you prepare for the project and also provide you with reproducible handouts for use with your classroom.

Please consult the Overview, Project, Resources, Steps, Samples, and Academic Standards.
